Answer: 1. Depending on size and model of the table it can weigh up to 1200lbs. It sounds like a lot of weight; however the weight is spread out over a 4’ x 8’ surface (32 sq feet). 
On an average most people weigh more per sq ft than a billiard table.

Answer: 2. In almost every situation that weight is not a problem in an upstairs room.
